Johnny Adams - I Wish It Would Rain

Wicked piece of slow modern soul from 1972. This tune was a hit single for the temptations five years earlier and has been recorded by many great singers, but to me this one is the best I've heard. Johnny Adams, "The Tan Canary" from New Orleans is one of the greatest singers of all time, has recorded music in many genres and for many different labels but sadly never really reached the stardom as some of his contemporaries.
